Artificial Intelligence in Computers
[ad_1]
Artificial intelligence is the branch in Computer science which aims to develop machines to act the way humans work with his intelligence. The word artificial Intelligence was coined by John McCarthy in 1956 at Dartmouth College. Artificial intelligent computers will have the ability to write programs by themselves if they encounter a difficult circumstance. They also have the ability to try various programs and method to achieve their goal. If they encounter a mistake then it will store it in memory and they will never make the same mistake again. A great service is that the mistake they make will be send to all other AI computers linked to them so that they will also not make that same mistake.
As the technology progress the artificial intelligence trained system will provide more services like self-driving cars, self-piloted planes, corporate telephone systems etc. Much complicated tasks like weather prediction and stock trading can also be done by these computers. The future of artificially trained computers cannot be predicted. Scientists are trying to make computers that can beat the intelligence of humans. The artificial intelligent future computer may change the life of humans; they are trying to make computers that can understand human speech and even to beat the most intelligent human in chess.
Investment for research in the field of AI is increasing. This is because they are aware of the potential outcome of such researches. The effectiveness of the possible artificially trained system is unimaginable. But it is sure that the researchers will come out with a result to save time and labor. Recently the pentagon has invested about twenty-nine million dollars in this field to train system to assist their officials. There will be also many controversies popping up along with the future technological heights acquired by artificially trained systems.
