Three Ways To Find More "Me" Time

[ad_1]

No matter how social a person is, we all crave a little time to ourselves. "Me" time is actually very healthy and can give each of us a sense of relaxation and calm in our lives, recharging us for other tasks at hand.

The problem is finding the opportunity for "me" time. Work schedules, families, and the tasks of adulthood can leave many of us bogged down to the point of hopelessness.

Rejuvenate yourself with these secrets to squeeze in some alone time.

Get there early. Whatever appointment you are heading to-be it the doctor, dentist, or tax accountant, get there fifteen to twenty minutes early. This gives you time to sit alone in the waiting room and bask in your solitude. Take a good book, a journal, or something else you enjoy and relax as you wait.

Eat Lunch Alone. Humans are social creatures, so instinct will tell us to eat with a friend or a group of co-workers. But it might actually be more healthy to eat alone on a park bench or in a quiet corner booth at your favorite restaurant. Take this time to think, read, or people watch. Then return to work or school relaxed from your solitude.

Exercise. Exercising is not only good for our bodies, but our minds as well. When we exercise, we have time to think or listen to our favorite music. Do not worry about work or the stresses of your home life during this time. Think about happy memories or exciting plans for the future. You might even try listening to a book on tape.
